Blogger, writer and founder of the REASONTOUSE platform. Passionate about providing quality information to help you refine your blogging skills and art of online writing.

I am going to tell you in this article one of the most important aspects of your blogging or writing success.

You don’t normally find it in common blogging advice nowadays.

And it lies within you. You have got a full control over it.

It is something which is easy to neglect and put it on the back burner.

And most of the new bloggers and writers fall prey to this lack of awareness and pay the price because they don’t spend enough time and effort on this aspect. I don’t want you to join the crowd. I want you to understand this and then implement it in your life to reap the benefits.

It is not about your blog design.

It is not about your content quality.

And it is not about marketing and networking either.

So what is it then?

How do you see yourself in 10 years from now?

It is about how “you see yourself in the future” at present.

Forget about what do you “know” or “not know” about writing or blogging at this stage. Do not worry about the technical details. You can learn them all.

As Brian Tracy said, “all skills required for success are learnable”. Watch this 2 minute video if you don’t agree.

So before you start getting into the nitty gritty of blogging such as design, content, marketing, SEO and keyword research etc., I would stop you and ask you these questions.

Have you spent enough time and effort to develop your vision and dream of your destination?

Do you understand the importance of long term dreams, goal setting, writing them down and affirming them every day?

Do you visualise yourself at the top of your game in 5 or 10 years time?

If answer to any of the above questions is “no” – stop and think again. You won’t go far with your blogging if this step is not considered.

You have been warned.

What do you have to do?

You have to dream.

You will have to go in the future, visualise a castle and start living in it. The wall building will start afterwards.

You need to talk to yourself.

Perhaps on a quiet day and in a quiet corner.

Just you and yourself.

Make a promise with you about what you are going to achieve in your blogging and writing passion.

Sounds too complicated?

It is not complicated at all.

I want you to watch the first two and a half minutes of the following video from Jim Rohn below. If it clicks, carry on and watch the rest of the 12-minutes long video then. I don’t think anyone else has explained the dreams and goals better than him in this video. All in 12 minutes.

It all depends on your blogging dream

Yes that is right.

And it is not just the blogging or writing which starts with a dream and visualisation.

It applies to any profession and any career.

Never underestimate the importance of dreaming in your life. No matter what people think and talk about dreaming, it is one of the most important things you have to do for yourself.

Dream.

And dream big if you are serious.

Never be afraid to see big dreams and feel them with passion and emotions. Importance of dreams for new bloggers and writers is paramount.

“Having a clear dream is a pre-requisite for your blogging journey.”

If you have been dreaming and visualising yourself in the next ten years, I congratulate you and urge you to keep it as your daily habit. A habit exercised with care and passion and considered important.

If you have not thought about dreaming and visualisation of your personality as a blogger or a writer, treat this article as an eye opener. Find a quiet corner and watch Jim Rohn’s video a few times which I have included in this article above.

You will thank me for that later.

Let me know what do you think?

Do you agree that for every success to be achieved, it is dreamt and seen by someone before it actually comes into existence?

I will leave you thinking with one of the best quotes that I have come across on dreaming.
